  • I applied for this job because I was eager to try something new. What has made me enjoy this job above all is the cohesion and the new acquaintances I have made both in my car test group and at the garage. I am originally from Piteå but commute from Arvidsjaur. I enjoy the inland. Anyone who likes nature and outdoor activities would enjoy the local area and to enjoy Tjintokk I would say that you should enjoy working with other people. Even if you drive a car yourself, you are part of a team. Of course, being interested in technology is also an advantage, but you also learn while you work. I would like to come back for more seasons. I have enjoyed it here.

  • We are looking for people interested in technology who enjoy driving. Test instructions are in Swedish and describe how the work should be carried out, so Swedish language skills in speech and writing are needed. There are also test coordinators and a group manager to help. Working as a car tester is a social job where you work in a group together with a group manager, so cooperation and social skills are also highly valued. We are looking for committed employees of all ages, regardless of gender, to strengthen our various test teams. At Tjintokk, we work under confidentiality and will request that you can show an extract from the police register before any employment.

  • To work as a car tester, you need a B-driver's license for at least 4 years. As well as completed driving school training. The driving school training is paid for by Tjintokk before employment begins. You complete the driving training once before your first season. After completing driving school, you go through two days of training/introduction together with an experienced group leader. Other training needed to become a good car tester is carried out on an ongoing basis with us.

  • Tjintokk has several different types of staff accommodation. Both apartments, apartment buildings, corridor accommodation, there is also the possibility to park your caravan or motorhome with us, yes all possible options. But unfortunately, staff accommodation is limited so we are forced to prioritize applicants who can arrange their own accommodation or commute to us. But we work before each season to arrange more accommodation :)

  • Tjintokk works according to the Transport Agreement and pays a contractual salary. In addition to this, a bonus of 1000 SEK/month is paid on the final salary for seasonal employees. Other benefits offered are a wellness allowance, free parking with engine heater outlet, a free Christmas dinner for all employees and a closing bonus for team building within the work group and of course a Christmas present :). Our administrators will provide more information about salary and schedules before employment.


  • Our main season is November 1st to March 31st. We often start a little earlier and finish a little later. We are also dependent on the weather and of course we love winter and the cold. We have many car testers who return every season and we hope you will be one of them.

  • It's a little different depending on which department you work in. But winter is short and intense so regardless of the department we work in shifts to get all the testing done. This means we work morning and afternoon weeks. Some departments work Monday-Friday and some departments run every day of the week on a rolling 3-week schedule based on 38.5h/week. Our administrators can answer more questions about this.

     

  • Slagnäs is located in the center of Norrland :) with us there is plenty to experience for those interested in nature and winter. There is endless nature around for recreation. Good opportunities for ice fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, ski touring - only your imagination sets the limits. For those interested in sports there are cross-country ski trails and a hockey rink and a sports hall for indoor activities. Within a few kilometers there are also opportunities to go slalom or snowboard. Come and experience real winter with us and enjoy the northern lights.
